O programa Fantástico publicou ontem um trabalho jornalístico sobre os casamentos por conveniência no Brasil. A crise na Europa e nos E.U.A., por um lado, e a relativa situação favorável do Brasil, por outro, fazem deste país um dos destinos preferenciais da emigração ocidental. Segundo a notícia, as ofertas de casamento para efeito de obtenção de visto permanente no Brasil são divulgadas na Internet e chega-se a pedir a quantia de R$40.000,00 (quarenta mil reais).
Convém referir que tal comportamento é punível como crime de falsidade ideológica, tipificado no artigo 299 do Código Penal brasileiro.
